Looking to schedule your move-out inspection?
Tenants may request a walk-through inspection at move-out under the following conditions:
• Walk-throughs must be scheduled at least one week in advance. Early scheduling is strongly encouraged, especially during high-volume move-out periods.
• Walk-throughs will be conducted only during regular business hours, excluding the lunch hour. Appointments may be scheduled starting as early as 9:15 AM, based on availability.
• The unit must be fully vacated and cleaned, with all personal belongings removed. Keys must be ready to be turned in at the end of the walk-through.
• No walk-throughs will be conducted during our scheduled turn periods:
• July 21 – August 1
• August 10 – August 21
• Security deposit returns are not dependent on a walk-through. Deposits will be processed and returned within 30 days of move-out, as required by law.
• It’s helpful to have light cleaning supplies on hand during the inspection in case small issues are identified that can be addressed on the spot.
Please note: While Urbana requires landlords to offer tenants an opportunity for a move-out inspection, tenants are not required to participate. This policy satisfies that requirement.
To request a walk-through, please contact our office at least seven days before your intended move-out date. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request based on staffing and scheduling.
